Sottomonte is a real estate agency that needed a site taking two things seriously: a clear presentation of its listings, and visibility in search. The solution was built on WordPress so the client could maintain listings independently.
The challenge
Property listings change constantly, so editing content could not depend on a developer. At the same time, property pages are image-heavy, which easily destroys load speed, and speed together with technical SEO decides whether the listings get found at all.
Approach
WordPress was set up with a content structure tailored to properties and templates that hold a consistent layout regardless of who enters the data. On the technical side the SEO groundwork was implemented: a semantic heading hierarchy, meta data, optimised images and a clean URL scheme. The layout was developed responsively, with emphasis on browsing listings on a phone.
